This building, at first called the International Education Building, was completed in 1998. Among its many innovative features is a large room with multimedia capabilities and a state-of-the-art Geographic Information Systems (GIS) lab. The building provides space for the Office of International Programs and a number of academic departments dealing with global curricula, including the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, the Department of History and the Department of Geography. In the fall of 1999 the building was named Cook Hall of International Education in honor of alumna Sally Ann Cook McGlothlin, whose family contributed $1.5 million to the Radford University Capital Campaign for the advancement of international programs.
