RADFORD -- Dr. Bruce Chase, professor of accounting at Radford University, and director of RU’s Government and Non-Profit Assistance Center (GNAC) has been recognized as one of Virginia’s Super CPA’s in the Educator category by Virginia Business Magazine and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).

“It is a real honor to be recognized by my professional peers,” said Chase. “It reflects well that the University’s outreach programs have increased awareness of RU’s accounting program across the state.”

Chase’s recognition as a Super CPA in the educator category is his second in the last four years and is the result of a poll of more than 7,000 ballots distributed to members of the VPSCA. From the Virginia Business/VSCPA poll, 320 CPA’s, licensed in Virginia, were selected for the Super CPA list based on the total votes received in 12 categories.

The Virginia Business/VSCPA Super CPA poll and awards program is in its eighth year and the winners will be featured in the November edition of Virginia Business.
