Visual and Performing Arts Season Begins September 10

Gillespie exhibitRADFORD – Radford University’s 2009 - 2010 visual and performing arts season begins September 10 with an opening reception for the exhibition from 5-7 p.m. at the Gallery at the Covington Center entitled “An Artist Collects: Selections from the Private Collection of Dorothy Gillespie,” which will continue through October 3.

Other events in September are:

  • “Then and Now: Beyond the Tartan” featuring works by Marion Mercer – Gallery 205, September 10 – October 9
  • Faculty Recital by David Allen on clarinet; Performance Hall in the Covington Center, Wednesday, Sept. 16, 8 p.m.
  • RU Wind Ensemble: Young People’s Concert; Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall; Tuesday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m.
  • RU Jazz Ensemble and Jazztet; Performance Hall in the Covington Center; Tuesday, Sept. 29, 8 p.m.
