Peace Studies Lecture Series Underway at RU

RADFORD – Radford University’s Peace Studies department is hosting a series of lectures through November featuring lectures by Peace Studies faculty.

  • Tuesday, Sept. 8, 7 p.m., Hurlburt Auditorium – “Just War Theory” by Sid Smith;
  • Wednesday, Sept. 23, 7 p.m., Cook Hall 107 – “An Antidote to Academic Violence” by Kristan Morrison;
  • Thursday, Oct. 8, 7 p.m., Cook Hall 107 – “World Peace Through Democratic World Law” by Glen Martin;
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20, 7 p.m., Hurlburt Auditorium – “Peaceful Communication: Challenges and Solutions” by Ann Mary Roberts;
  • Thursday, Nov. 5, 7 p.m., Cook Hall 107 – “Protest Music of the Vietnam War Era” by Alan Forrest;
  • Wednesday, Nov. 18, 7 p.m., Cook Hall 107 – “Mindfulness: Creating Inner Peace – Panel Discussion with moderator Alan Forrest.
