RADFORD – The Radford University English Department recently announced four winners for the 2009 Nan Lacy Poetry Chapbook Awards.

The recipients of this year’s prestigious awards are Emily Walker and AnnClaire Livoti, who took first and second place in the undergraduate category, respectively.

In the graduate students category, Kathryn Bondurant earned first place, and Tessica Venteicher-Schulman took second place.

Each award winner received monetary awards.

RU English Department faculty Jim Minick, Don Cunningham and Ruth Derrick judged the manuscript entries. The Nan Lacy awards are sponsored by the English Department, Creative Writing Committee and the RU Foundation.
