RADFORD – Radford University graphic design students were awarded 12 ADDYs at the recent Advertising Federation District 3 competition sponsored by the Advertising Federation of the Roanoke Valley (Ad Fed). These awards double the previous high of six awards received last year.

Winners were:

• Junior Ben Rush of Spotsylvania, two golds and one silver

• Senior Chelsea Clark of Hagerstown, Md., one gold and two silvers

• Spring 2008 graduate Nathan Long of Radford, one silver

The students’ professors are Ken Smith, Ed LeShock, and ADDY project director John O’Connor. “This is a major milestone for the RU graphic design program,” says O’Connor. "The ADDYs are among the top awards given annually to professionals and students in the field of advertising and graphic design. The professionals in attendance had high praise for the students and our program."
