Carter Appointed Director for RU School of Nursing

Kim CarterRADFORD – Radford University nursing professor Kim Carter has been appointed director for the Waldron College of Health and Human Services School of Nursing.

Carter came to the university in 1992 as an instructor of nursing and has served as associate director of nursing. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from RU and her masters and PhD degrees in nursing from the University of Virginia.

Among her many accomplishments, Carter has received the Waldron College outstanding professor award, Who’s Who in America (Marquis Who’s Who), Who’s Who Among America’s Educators (Marquis Who’s Who), the International Professional of the Year and the International Educator of the Year from the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. She is a frequent contributor to professional journals and has been a presenter at conferences across the nation. Carter has also been awarded numerous grants during her time at RU, all of which further research and establish programs to benefit the nursing profession and those they serve.
