RADFORD – The College of Visual and Performing Arts at Radford University has announced its February calendar of music events, starting with a February 5 concert by Duo Firenze on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m., in Covington Center Performance Hall.

Duo Firenze musicians are RU music professor and guitarist Robert Trent and organist Pamela Swenson. The pair will transport its audience to the holiday celebrations in the world of Mozart, Franklin, Jefferson and Beethoven. Trent says Duo Firenze offers an “authentic and intimate experience of chamber music the way it was heard in the homes, salons and gardens of that era.” Trent is director of guitar and lute studies at RU and Swenson is choir director for Christ Church in Blacksburg.

• February 9 – Guest recital by pianist Chung-Ha Kim, 8 p.m., Covington Performance Hall;

• February 16 – Guest recital by organist Florence Jowers, 8 p.m., Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall;

• February 25 – Guest recital by Lisa Weiss, 8 p.m., Covington Performance Hall.
