RU Board of Visitors to Meet Feb. 9-10 in Richmond
RADFORD -- In conjunction with Radford’s annual “Advocacy Day” at the General Assembly, the Radford University Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, February 9 and Wednesday, February 10 in Richmond, Virginia.
The board’s Academic Affairs Committee will meet on Tuesday, February 9 at 2 p.m., and the Governance and Administration Committee will meet on the same day at 3:30 p.m. The entire board will convene for the board meeting on Wednesday, February 10 at 9 a.m. All meetings will be held at One James Center, 2nd Floor, Board Room 2G, in Richmond, Virginia.
Items slated for discussion include an update on the university’s 2009-2010 budget, an outlook for the 2010-2011 budget and a briefing on RU’s developing doctoral programs in nursing practice and physical therapy. The board will also be asked to adopt a Resolution of Compliance with the Radford University Debt Management Policy.
The full board will hear committee reports and will hear from the Student and Faculty Representatives to the Board.
Radford’s annual “Advocacy Day,” during which RU students meet with legislators and discuss issues important to RU, will be held on Thursday, February 11.
