Advocacy Day a Success
RADFORD -- A group of 32 Radford University students led by President Penelope W. Kyle traveled to Richmond Thursday to tell the Radford University story to legislators from all across the Commonwealth. The RU contingent also included faculty, senior staff and Board of Visitors members. The presence of our outstanding students in Richmond on Advocacy Day left a positive impression on the legislature as they continue their work in the Commonwealth’s capitol. “The trip to Richmond was a great success,” says Vice President for Student Affairs Norleen Pomerantz. The delegates and senators asked us great questions about Radford University and our students learned about the legislative process,” says Pomerantz. During the day, President Kyle and the students were able to exchange greetings and information with Governor Tim Kaine.
