Created in 1972, the Radford University Foundation, Inc., endorses the university's mission of educating students to live fulfilling and productive lives in a global community. Each year, the Foundation receives gifts from alumni, students, parents, friends, businesses, corporations and foundations to support various important university programs and fund student scholarships. This private, financial support aids in completing many vital projects which are not possible through state appropriations.
A non-profit, tax-exempt, Virginia-chartered corporation, the Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of 26 individuals representing various institutional constituencies. Today, the Foundation's assets stand at more than $28 million and are used to support students and various academic programs.
