Be a part of it!
The Class of 2010 has a special place in Radford’s history. We are graduating in the Centennial year! As such, the senior class gift is about more than the money raised, it is acknowledging what Radford has done for us, joining alumni in a long tradition of giving back to the university and most importantly, IMPACTING the lives of future students. As the Centennial graduating class we should be setting the standard for future class participation.
To celebrate 100 years of service, RU has issued the Centennial Service Challenge called the Power of 100. Our class has the opportunity to impact other’s lives through a special class project; as such, the senior class gift will incorporate this challenge into our plans. In the fall, seniors will be invited to vote and participate in a special Class of 2010 Community Project which we will carry out in the spring.
Class Volunteers Needed
We are looking for members of the senior class either graduating in May, summer or December - who are interested in helping us achieve our participation and service goals. If you are interested in joining this dynamic committee, contact Cassandra Dove, Assistant Director of Annual Giving and our committee liaison, at cpdove@radford.edu or 831-5812.
Do you need another reason to join the committee? It looks wonderful on a resume. In today’s economic climate, employers are looking for employees with fundraising experience. We will train you with all the skills needed to succeed. Senior Class Gift Committee
Senior Class Gift Goals
- 50% participation with a monetary senior class gift
- 50% participation in the senior class service project
How much are we asking for a senior gift?
We are challenging the Class of 2010 to make a minimum gift of $20.10 in honor of our graduation year and the university’s centennial. However, gifts of any size are welcome. Our goal is about participating, and gifts of $5, $10, and more will count toward participation.
The best part about donating to the 2010 gift is that you decide how you would like your gift to be used. In the fall, we will give seniors the opportunity to vote on a designated senior class gift. You will then have the choice to give to the designated gift or to any other area on campus you have an interest in, such as your college, major, athletics, scholarships and more.
