Highlanders Compete at the Lynchburg Invitational

Lynchburg, Va. - Radford track and field compete in day one of the Raleigh Relays from Paul Derr Track & Field Stadium on Friday.

Senior sprinter  Maurika Quarles garnered first (1:00.28) in the 400 meter hurdles and qualified in the 100 meter hurdles with an 11th place finish.

Sophomore thrower Tiffany Evans (Dumfried, Va.) placed eighth and threw a distance of 46'05.50" in the shot.

On the men's side sophomores Brian Richotte and Jeremiah Spence placed 11th and 13th respectively in the discus. Richotte threw a distance of 143-08 while teammate Spence tossed a 140-08.

Sophomore James Nixon finished 10th in the shot with a mark of 49-06.50.
