CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Radford sophomore’s Tiffany Evans (Dumfries, Va.) and Brian Richotte (Berkley, Mich.) were named New Balance Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week by the Big South Conference on Wednesday.

Last weekend, the Highlanders competed at the Virginia Tech Invitational where Evans finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 60’03.60”. On day two, she tossed the shot put a distance of 46’08.20” to place third.

For the men, Richotte placed second in the weight throw and became an NCAA qualifier with a mark of 63’07.00”. This distance set a school record, breaking his previous mark of 62’00.10”.

The Highlanders will visit Johnson City, Tenn. this weekend, Fri. - Sat., Jan. 21-22 to compete in the Niswonger Invitational.
