Nava Grabbed Second and Posted a School Record at the Raleigh Relays

Raleigh, N.C. -- The Radford men's and women's track and field squad competed this week at the 2004 Adidas Raleigh Relays at Paul H. Derr Track at N.C. State. On Saturday, the Higlanders posted two school records and one High nabbed a second place finish.

Senior Goran Nava (Castello Di Brianza, Italy) grabbed a second place finish to fall slightly behind Tennessee's Paul Cross in the 800 meter run to set a school record of 1:50.55.

For the women, Radford's 4x400 meter relay team set a new school record of 3:55.98. The team consisted of Maurika Quarles (Manassas, Va.), Dena Caple (Richmond, Va.), Lauren Diggs (Waynesboro, Va.) , and Tiffany Street (Midlothian, Va.).

The Highlanders take the track this coming Saturday on April, 3 2004 as they host the Highlander Quad.
