Nava Lowers School Record With Third Place Finish at Georgia Tech Invitational

Atlanta, Ga. -- Goran Nava (Castello Brianza, Italy) continued his stellar outdoor season with a third place finish and a school record in the 800 meter at the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend.

Finishing just behind North Carolina's Andrew Craycraft (1:49.74) and All-American Brendan Mahoney of Georgia Tech (1:49.89) with a time of 1:50.05, Nava lowered his school record (1:52.76) by almost three seconds.

Nava will be competing in the 800 and 1500, along with teammate Sean McGuire (Tacoma, Wash) in the javelin, at the NCAA Regionals May 30-31 at George Mason University.
