McGuire Returns Home and Shatters School Javelin Record at Ken Foreman Invitational; Nava Wins 1500 at Orange and Purple Classic Seattle, Wash./Clemson, S.C. -- Sean McGuire (Tacoma, Wash./Henry Foss HS), back in his home state, placed second in the javelin at the Ken Foreman Invitational hosted by the University of Washington. With a throw of 186'03.00", he shattered the school record previously held by Adam Faulkner (181'07.00). Amy Gediman (Midlothian, Va./James River) also competing at Clemson, finished eighth in the 800 meter with a time of 2:20.75. McGuire, in the javelin, and Nava, in the 800 and 1500, will be competing at the NCAA Regionals, May 30-31 at George Mason University. |
