Radford University Taps Grant to Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs RADFORD, Va. - Radford University Athletic Director Greig Denny announced the hiring of Michael Grant as men’s and women’s golf coach today. “I’m extremely excited to re-associate myself with collegiate golf,” stated Grant. “I played collegially in the state (VCU) and am very grateful to Radford University in affording me the opportunity to become a collegiate golf coach.” A 1991 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth with a B.S. Degree in Community and Public Affairs, Grant competed on the PGA Tour, Canadian PGA Tour and Nike Tour from 1995-1998. Currently a teaching professional at Thorn Spring Golf Club here in the New River Valley, a position he has held for the past year, Grant spent three and a half years (1998-2001) as the Assistant Golf Professional at Boonsboro Country Club in Lynchburg, Va. Prior to his stint in professional golfer, Grant served as the Assistant Professional at Flossmoor Country Club in Chicago, Ill. and as the Assistant Golf Coach at VCU. |
