ROCK HILL, S.C. - Radford men's cross country finished eighth with 197 points, while the women finished fifth with 159 points at the Winthrop Fall Classic on Saturday morning. Sophomore, Maria Geary and senior Shannon Brown finish in the top half of the 4k run.

Geary placed 17th in a time fifteen minutes and forty two seconds, while teammate Brown finished 28th in 16:01. Sophomores, Rachelle Estes placed 44th (16:36) and Daphne Prospt was close behind finishing 45th with a time of 16:38.

Sophomore, Mike Meehan ran the men's 6k in ninteen minutes and six seconds to finish 25th, while freshman Daniyel Rodgers finished 31st with a time of 19:21. Freshman, Joel Hanlon came in close behind placing 33rd with a time of 19:25.

High Point claimed both the 4k women's and 6k men's titles while Furman finished second in both races.

The Big South Championships will be held on Saturday Oct. 30, 2004 in Rock Hill, S.C.
