Highlanders Fall at Longwood, 4-3

Farmville, Va. -- Radford's women's tennis team dropped a close match at Longwood this afternoon, 4-3. The Highlanders fall to 3-11, while the Lancers improved to 6-7.

The fell behind 1-0 in doubles as the No. 2 team of sophomore Camila Noldin (Florianopolis, Brazil) and junior Caroline Downs (Radford, Va.) earned the lone victory, 8-3. In singles, Downs, along with freshman Ashton Downs (Radford, Va.) and freshman Cassandra Price (Deland, Fla.) won, but it wasn't enought as the Lancers won three of the matches to edge the Highlanders.

Radford returns to the Dedmon Center courts on Saturday when it host Charleston Southern on Saturday, April 2 at 11 am.
