Swimming & Diving Sets School Record
DAVIDSON, N.C. - Radford swimming and diving tallied 205 points and set a new school record during the second day of the Davidson invite on Saturday afternoon.
The Highlanders placed two top-ten individual and relay finishes. Junior Julie Brooks finished sixth in the 400 yard IM (4:43.29) while teammate Kyndal Spradlin posted seventh in the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:10.67. The Highs placed sixth in the 800 yard free relay and clocking a new school record time of 8:10.03. Swimming legs of the relay were Brooks, Kristan Deckert, Amy Wharen and Stacie Bliss. In the 200 yard relay Brooks, Spradlin, Deckert and Bliss tabbed eighth with a time of 1:57.99. The scoring is still led by Gardner-Webb (634 pts.) followed by JMU (578), Davidson (403), College of Charleston (290) and Radford (205). Tomorrow’s prelims begin at 9 a.m. with finals to follow at 4 p.m. |
