Highlanders Fall to Davidson and College of Charleston

Radford, Va. –Radford’s swimming and diving team opened their 2002-03 season, dropping a pair of meets this weekend. On Saturday, they fell to Davidson 203-35 and to College of Charleston on Sunday, 173-51.

Against College of Charleston, Erin Patterson (Keswick, Va.) and Joy Bailey (Fairfield, Va.) posted second place finishes in the 50 freestyle (30.00) and 200 butterfly (2:56,51) respectively. Patterson also finished fourth in the 100 free with a time of 1:07.38.

The Highlanders will open up their home schedule on Friday, Nov. 1 when they host North Carolina A&T in the Dedmon Center Natatorium at 4 p.m.
