Highlanders Drop a Pair Over the Weekend

Jacksonville, Fla. -- Radford University dropped a pair of meets over the weekend to Georgia Southern and University of North Florida. On Saturday, the Highlanders dropped a 177-30 decision to the Golden Eagles. The following day, they fell to the Ospreys, 134-80.

Against GSU, Erica Crossman (Stanton, Va.) was the highest finisher with a second place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke. Sheila Brosnan (Fairfax, Va.) placed third in the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle as did Joy Bailey (Fairfield, Va.) in the 100 freestyle.

On Sunday, Raven Wray (Hopewell, Va.) posted wins in the 50 and 100 yard butterfly, while Krista Menkendick (Vinton, Va.) and Brosnan picked up victories in the 500 free style and 100 IM respectively. RU's 200 free relay team of Brosnan, Erin Lancraft (Phoenix, Md.), Lindsey LeCroy (Mechanicsville, Va.) and Amy Ferry (Poquoson, Va.) also won.

The Highlanders will be off until Jan. 10, 2003 when they host Florida A&M.
