Radford Rounds Out Fall Season With A Sixth-Place Finish

LEWISBURG, Pa.-- Radford's women's golf team placed sixth out of 17 teams at the Bucknell Fall Classic, shooting a 672 in the 36-hole event which conlcuded Sunday.

Senior Keri Reilly (Weedsport, N.Y.) led the RU charge, placing 19th overall with a 167 (91-76). Junior Dana Doganes (Leesport, Pa.) and senior Meredith Roberts (Purcellville, Va.) finished tied for 20th, each shooting a 168. Doganes firedan 83-85 while Roberts hit a 89-79.

Junior Stacy Brewer (Fairfax, Va.) was Radford's top finisher, placing tied for eighth overall with a 159 (81-78). Junior Dana Doganes (Leesport, Pa.) finished in 16th place with a 164 (80-84).

Senior Meredith Roberts (Purcellville, Va.), placed fourth for RU finishing with a 172 (88-84), good enough for a tie for 35th place overall. Freshman Amber Garcia Laffitte (Stafford, Va.) closed out the scoring for RU with a 177 (88-89) to place 50th overall.

St. John's won the event with a 621. Harvard's Katie Loncke a 151 to take medalist honors. Host Bucknell, which finished tied for fourth with a 669 was the other Big South team at the event.

The tournament was Radford's final of the fall season.
