Radford Finishes 14th at Shamrock Intercollegiate

TEGA CAY, S.C.-- Radford women’s golf finished in 14th in the Shamrock Intercollegiate, shotting a 728 (365-363) at the Tega Cay Golf Club Saturday and Sunday. Elon won the two-day event with a 619 (305-314)

Senior Meredith Roberts (Purcellville, Va.) was RU’s top finisher, placing tied for 37th with a 170 (85-85). Junior Stacy Brewer (Fairfax, Va.) tallied a 174 (87-87) to tie for 49th overall. Junior Dana Doganes (Leesport, Pa.) shot a 182 (94-88) to tie for 59th overall. Sophomore Tiana Patirrne (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) rounded out the Radford scoring with a 202 (99-103), placing 72nd overall.

High Point, which placed seventh with a 672 (335-337), Bucknell, which was ninth with a 675 (341-334) and host Winthrop, which finished with a 676 (344-332) were the other Big South teams at the event.

The Highlanders will next play in the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. on March 26-27.
