Radford In 13th After Day One In Williamsburg WILLIAMSBURG, Va.-- Radford women's golf is in 13th place after 18 holes of the William & Mary Invitational, shooting a 337 at Ford's Colony Country Club Saturday. Rollins College is in first place with a 299. Senior Meredith Roberts (Purcellville, Va.) was RU's top finisher on day one, placing tied for 15th with a 78. Junior Stacy Brewer (Fairfax, Va.) tallied an 84 to tie for 44th overall. Junior Dana Doganes (Leesport, Pa.) shot an 86 to tie for 57th overall. Senior Keri Reilly (Weedsport, N.Y.) rounded out the Radford scoring with an 89, placing tied for 69th overall. Winthrop, which shot a 325 (eighth place) and Bucknell, which placed ninth with a 328, were the other Big South teams at the event. Rollins' Mariana De Biase, who shot a even par 72, leads the event after day one. The Highlanders will next play in the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va. on March 26-27. |
