Women's Golf Turns in Sixth Place Finish at Sea Trail Intercollegiate

Sunset Beach, N.C. - Behind a pair of second round 79's from Laura Tereby and Meredith Roberts, Radford's women's golf team jumped up two spots to claim sixth place at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate on the 6,079-yard Willard Byrd Course. Tereby's 79 gave her a two-day total of 157, tying her for 11th. Roberts finished tied 26th with a total of 161.

Western Carolina won the event posting a scored of 610, 12 shots ahead of Longwood. Brandy Andersen of WCU won the event with a four over 148, one stroke ahead of her teammate Bianca Melone and Bethune Cookman's Maria Dunne.

Also competing for the Highlanders were Keri Reilley (80-85-165), Dana Doganes (81-87-168) and Stacy Brewer (81-88-169).

The women will be back on the lynx next week when they travel to Murray State and the Miller Golf Course on Oct. 6-7.
