Radford In Sixth, Tereby In Fourth Place At Big South Tournament

GREENWOOD, S.C. - Radford's women's golf team finished tied for sixth place after day one at the P.U.P.S. Big South Conference Golf Championships. Senior Laura Terebey is in fourth place at the three-day tournament, which is being played at Greenwood Country Club.

Terebey fired RU's best round of the day, shooting a 75, placing her three strokes off the lead. Dana Doganeschecked in tied at 22nd overall, shooting an 85 to finish second for the Highlanders.

Keri Reilly was the Highlanders' number three finisher, carding an 87 to tie for 29th overall. Stacy Brewer and Meredith Roberts each finished with an 88 to tie for 31st overall and round out Radford's finishers .

The Highlanders are tied for sixth with High Point after posting a team score of 335 in rainy cold conditions. Coastal Carolina is leading the event with a team score of 309. Coastal's Natalie Cruise and Charleston Southern's Tiffany Shoppe are tied for the individual lead with an even 72.

The tournament will resume tomorrow and conclude Wednesday. The winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Women's Golf Tournament.
