Volleyball Falls To Washington State

DENVER, Colo.-- Radford volleyball fell 3-0 to Washington State Friday night in the first match of the Denver University Invitational. (Box Score)

RU lost by game scores of 30-13, 30-15, and 30-19. The Highlanders fall to 2-6 on the season. Washington State improves to 3-6.

Senior Tiffany Guthrie (Littleton, Colo.) led the Radford attack, collecting 14 kills for a .250 hitting percentage. Junior Elizabeth Aldredge (Richmond, Va.) led RU's defensive efforts with 13 digs. Freshman Josie Hanners (Richmond, Va.) tallied 23 assists in the game.

Washington State was led by Kelly Rosin with 10 kills and Stacey Holbrook's 17 digs. Nicole Martin notched 33 assists for the Cougars.

The Highlanders will play two matches tomorrow to close out the tournament. RU will face host Denver at 3:00 pm and Syracuse at 7:00 pm.
