Highlanders Defeat Embry-Riddle, 5-2 Daytona Beach, Fla. - Radford University made a strong come back in men's tennis to defeat the Embry-Riddle Eagles (8-4) Thursday afternoon, 5-2. The Highs improve their record to 5-5 on the season. Despite early loses in the doubles competition Radford found five straight victories in the sinlges competition. Arthur Vasarevic took match No. 2 after dropping the first set against Nicolas Bousquet, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. Andre Cavaco, also coming from behind, defeated Evan Specht, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Joakim Arhammar claimed a win over Dustin Sipka 6-2, 6-1. Robel Mengisteab pulled out a close win against Danny Arkins, 6-1, 7-6 (1). In the final match Dominic Soeur defeats Jerry Ward, 6-2, 6-0. Soeur and Mengisteab extended their winning streaks to seven and six respectively.
