Men’s and Women's Swept at High Point High Point, N.C. -- Radford's men's and women's tennis teams were swept, 7-0, by High Point in Big South action this afternoon. The men fall to 6-10 overall and 0-4 in the Big South, while the women drop to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the Conference. The men's team fell in doubles action, 2-1. The team of Joakim Arhammar and Robel Mengisteab picked up the lone victory for the Highlanders. Radford suffered some tough defeats in singles action as Brandon Johnson, Joakim Arhammar and Vasarevic dropped three set matches at No. 1, 3 and 4 respectively. High Point's women swept the doubles. Radford's No. 1 singles player Jihane Najdi suffered a tough three-set loss, 6-3, 7-6, 6-1 to Simona Foltyn. The next matches for both teams will be on Saturday, March 29. The men host North Carolina A&T at 1 p.m. and follow that with a 7 p.m. match with St. Boneventure at Virginia Tech. The women will also be at Virginia Tech, when they face Richmond at 9 a.m.
