Men's Tennis Falls at The Citadel, 4-3

Charleston, S.C. -- Radford University dropped a competitive match, 4-3, to The Citadel at the Earle Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs opened up by sweeping the doubles to pick up the first point of the match. The Highlanders evened the match up at 3-3 after the first five singles matches. Andre' Cavaco (Faro, Portugal) defeated Lawern Tere 4-6, 7-6, 6-1 in No. 3 singles play. Arthur Vasarevic (Zagreb, Croatia) and Dominic Soeur (Herndon, W.Va.) also earned victories at the No. 4 and No. 5 matches.

The Citadel's Warren Woolfolk defeated Robel Mengisteab (Kista, Sweden) in three sets, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 helping the Bulldogs edge the Highlanders.

The Highlanders return home on March 15 when they host Toledo at 10 a.m.
