Highlanders Sweep Cleveland State, 7-0 BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Radford's Men's Tennis Team swept Cleveland State, 7-0, at the Burrows/Burleson Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Tech. The Highlanders even their record at 3-3 on the season. The Highlanders swept all three doubles matches, then produced straight set victories in all six singles matches. #1 Brandon Johnson and #6 Robel Mengisteab lost one game apiece as they breezed in their matches. In the #2 singles, Joakim Arhammar defeated Jay Tee 6-3, 7-5 in the closest match of the evening. Andre' Cavaco, Arthur Vasarevic and Dominic Soeur also picked up victories for the Highlanders. The Highlanders will be off until next weekend when they travel to Alabama for a pair of matches. On Feb. 22, they will face provisional Big South member Birmingham Southern at 1 p.m. They will face Jacksonville State the following day at noon. Radford 7, Cleveland State 0 SINGLES DOUBLES |
