Morgantown, W.Va. -- Radford's men's tennis team was blanked by West Virginia, 7-0, at the WVU Tennis Complex.
The Mountaineers (9-11) opened up, winning all three matches to notch the first point.
Radford battled in the singles matches, as Joakim Arhammar, Andre' Cavaco, Arthur Vasarevic and Dominic Soeur took their matches to three sets. At No. 2 Arhammar lost a tough battle with WVU's Tony Epkey 5-7, 6-4, 4-6., while Cavaco fell 4-6, 6-2, 6-7 (5) at No. 3 singles..
At No. 1 singles, WVU's Eric Kochanski notched a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Brandon Johnson, and Kyle Markham topped Robel Mengisteab at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
The Highlanders close out their regular season on Saturday when they host Virginia Intermont at noon on the Dedmon Center Courts.
