Jonathan Williamson was tabbed to be Spencer Smith's assistant in the summer of 2004. He is responsible for assisting in game-day operations, recruiting, practice and travel for the men's soccer team. A native of Manassas, Va., Williamson joins the Highlanders after spending the past summer playing for the Reading Rage, a semi-pro team in Reading, Penn. Williamson was a four-year starter for Bridgewater College, playing both forward and midfielder. He collected numerous honors, playing in every game during his career, including the BC Offensive Player of the Year award his senior season. He also garnered First Team All-Conference honors from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and First Team All-State honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors as a senior. A team captain as a junior and senior, Williamson was also named to the All-Tournament team at the Johns Hopkins his junior year and Honorable Mention All-Conference as a sophomore. Williamson graduated from Bridgewater in the spring of 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in History. He resides in Radford. |
