Bowers Finishes Fifth at Chattanooga Intercollegiate
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. Radford's Phil Bowers fired an even par 71 to finished tied for fifth in the Chattanooga Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Valleybrook Golf Course.
The Highlanders finished the three round event with a team score of 907, good for ninth place in the 15-team event. After shooting an opening round 74, Bowers shot 71 in the final two rounds on the 6,704-yard course to finish with a three over par total of 216. Maryland's John Moheyer shot a 208 to win the event.
RU's Dan Warner shot a 216, including a first round 74, to finished tied for 35th. Eric Hooke closed with a 73 and finished 42nd in the 77-player field, and Chris Clark finished 57th.
