Men's Golf Scores Fifth-Place Finish

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn.-- Radford's men's golf team finished fifth overall after competing against thirteen teams in the Sonic/Chattanooga Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at the Signal Mountain Country Club in Tennessee last weekend.

The Highlanders' top finishers were Chris Bagg and Aaron Summers. Bagg finished with a 145 (73-72) tying for 21st overall. Summers closed out the tournament at 146 (72-74) good enough for a tie for 28th.

The Highlanders' Griffith Hunter, Hampton Ballard and Robert Nuon each placed in the tournament. Hunter shot a 147 (72-75) to tie for 32nd overall. Ballard finished with a 150 (78-72) to tie for 45th overall and Nuon shot a 155 (75-80) to finish tied for 61st overall.

Tennessee Tech's Braxton Hunter finished with a 134 (66-68). Tying him for first place was Ryan Martin of Morehead State who closed the tournament at 134 (68-66).

The top team scores were by Belmont and Tennessee Tech, whom both tied for first. Belmont finished with a 560 (283-277) and Tennessee Tech finished with a 577 (280-290) respectively.

RU will play at Wild Wing Plantation this weekend in a Western Carolina-hosted tournament.
