Radford Men's Golf 14th After Day One ROCK HILL, S.C.-- Radford men's golf is tied for 14th after one day of play in the Winthrop Waterford Invitational at Waterford Golf Club. Senior Aaron Summers (Floyd, Va.) leads RU, shooting a 72 on day one, placing him tied for fourth, one stroke off the lead. Junior Chris Bagg (Christiansburg, Va.) is in 65th overall with an 83. Sophomore Robert Nuon (Centreville, Va.) is in 70th place overall with an 85, two strokes behind Bagg. Freshman Hampton Ballard (Pearisburg, Va.) shot an 86 on day one, good for 76th place. Sophomore Josh Meador (Glen Allen, Va.) rounded out the Radford scoring, posting an 87 for 79th place. Radford is competing against 15 other schools in the event, including Big South members Birmingham-Southern, High Point, Liberty and host Winthrop. |
