Radford’s Clark Leads Chris Cothran/Radford Intercollegiate Golf Tournament; Men’s One Stroke Out of Lead, Women Stand Tied for Second Draper, Va. Radford University’s Chris Clark carded a one-under, back nine to finish the first round with a one over 73, to take a three-stroke lead over David Thomas and Guido DiCicco of Appalachian State, Brian Hollowell of Longwood and Radford teammate Bev Holley and position Radford University one stroke behind co-leaders Appalachian State and Longwood University after the first day of the Chris Cothran Radford Intercollegiate Golf Tournament played at Draper Valley Golf Course. On the Women’s side the Highlanders stand tied for second with Appalachian State, 10 strokes behind leader Charleston Southern as Laura Terebey (81) stands six strokes back of Charleston Southern’s Erica Donovan (75). Here are how the other Highlanders faired in the first round, as the final round will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. Women Men |
