Savtchenko Selected in the Third Round of the USBL Draft by Florida

MILFORD, Conn. - - Radford University’s Andrey Savtchenko was selected in the third round, 26th overall by the Florida Sea Dragons in The United States Basketball League (USBL) held its Seventeenth Annual Draft.

Savtchenko at two-time Big South Conference first team selection and RU’s all-time leading rebounder (823), finished his four-year Highlander career seventh on Radford’s scoring list (1,200).

The USBL, dubbed the “League of Opportunity” is a developmental league consisting of 10 teams on the east coast.
