Holcomb-Faye Named Big South Freshman of the Week

RADFORD, Va. - For the fourth time this year, Radford Unievsrity Freshman Whit Holcomb-Faye was tapped as the Big South Conference Freshman of the week.

Holcomb-Faye averaged 17.5 points per game, including a 19-point perfomance in a critical win over Liberty. His action helped Radford clinch the sixth seed for the upcoming Big South Championship. He dished out seven assists against the Flames, added a steal and grabbed three rebounds.

Earlier in the week, he had a 16-point performance in a loss to Birmingham-Southern. For the week, Holcomb-Faye shot 40.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 57.1 percent from the line. He averaged 4.5 assists per game to post a 3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
