BYRON SAMUELS BASKETBALL CAMP
|
PURPOSE OF CAMP
To teach basketball fundamentals and to use basketball as a tool to develop confidence, leadership and winning attitudes. Emphasis placed on sportsmanship and team play. Daily individual skill development sessions to improve passing, rebounding, shooting and ball handling skills.
AGES
Father/Child camp open to girls and boys ages 8-18. Day and Overnight Camp is for boys only ages 8 to 18. All individual campers grouped according to age and playing level. Separate leagues will run through the week.
COST
Father/Child camp tuition is $125.00 (overnight campers only) for the father and one child. Each additional child will be $75.00. Day Camp (day campers only) tuition is $175.00 and Overnight Camp (boarding campers only) is $260.00. Tuition includes camp t-shirt, certificate, individual and team awards, and coaches evaluation. Boarding campers receive breakfast, lunch and dinner; day campers receive lunch and dinner only.
FACILITIES
The Byron Samuels' Basketball Camp will be held in the Donald N. Dedmon Center, Home of the Highlanders, on the Radford University campus. The Dedmon Center has hosted premier camps for years, including the prestigious Five-Star camp. Our basketball office will serve as the camps headquarters. Facilities include the finest aquatic center in Southwest Virginia.
Boarding campers will be housed in a dormatory on the Radford campus.
WHAT TO BRING
Enthusiastic attitudes, energy and a love for learning the game are essential. Boarding campers must bring linens, towels, toiletries. Day campers, athletic shoes and clothing, towels, etc.

9:30-9:45 pm............. Day Campers Return Home
10:00-11:00 pm........ Basketball Videos
11:15 pm.................. Lights Out
CAMP STAFF
Byron Samuels and Radford University staff. Current and former Radford University basketball players. Players from various conferences. Guest lectures daily.
