Highlanders Blanked by #15 Boston College, 1-0

Harrisonburg, Va. – Radford University dropped a tough 1-0 match to 15th-ranked Boston College this afternoon at James Madison. In their final regular season matches, the Highlanders fall to 7-10, while the Eagles improve to 15-5.

B.C. forward Kim French scored the lone goal of the day 11:41 into the game. The score would stand up as both teams played evenly the rest of the day. Radford was outshot 14-5 and the Eagles held a slight advantage in corner, 6-5.

Tina Caiazza (Fairfax, Va.) stopped six shots for the Highlanders, while Lauren Hill made three saves for the Eagles.

Radford heads to Stanford, Calif. for the 2002 NorPac Field Hockey Championship. The Highlanders, who claimed the East Division this season, will take on the four seed out of the west, Saint Louis at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7.
