Radford, VMI Game Suspended

RADFORD, Va. -- Friday’s Big South Conference baseball game between Radford and VMI was suspended due to heavy rains that moved through the area. The game resume Saturday at 1:00 pm.

VMI leads the game 5-0 in the top of the seventh inning. The game was suspended with centerfielder B.T. Good at bat with a 0-1 count and two outs, with first baseman Robert Crumpler on third base.

The second game of the series, which was scheduled for 1:00 pm, will be played following the conclusion of the suspended game. The series is the regular season finale for both teams. Radford is playing for a berth to the Big South Conference Championship, which begins next week in Conway, S.C. VMI has already clinched a spot in the double-elimination tournament.
