Fleisher Suspended From Baseball Team

RADFORD, Va. - Radford University announced today that sophomore right handed pitcher/first baseman Mark Fliesher has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. It was announced today by Baseball Coach Lew Kent.

The Highlanders were without the services of their No. 2 pitcher and clean-up batter for all three of this past weekend's series against Liberty. The 6-5, 230 native of Midlothian, Va. And J.R. Tucker High School product, is batting .271 with a team leading six home runs and 24 RBI. On the mound the Fleisher is 2-2 record and a 6.37 ERA.

The Highlanders will take the next week off for finals, before hosting Richmond on Tuesday, May 6 at 2 p.m.
