Professional Development in Library Media

A four-course sequence designed to provide advanced studies and professional development for inservice library media specialists employed in grades PK-12.

Course Sequence:
EDLS 608. Child and Young Adult Literature for Library Media Specialists (3)
EDSL 610. Developing Library Collections (3)
EDLS 612. Reference Materials and Services (3)
EDLS 618. Production and Evaluation of Educational Media (3)

In most instances, the sequence will begin in the fall semester and conclude in the following summer session.


Applicants for the certificate must meet the criteria for admission as a non-degree graduate student at Radford University. In addition, persons seeking admission to the certificate must be licensed, inservice library media specialists.
