Sound WebQuest
Virginia Science SOL 5.2

Introduction
Listen!  What do you hear?  How do you hear?  Sound is all around us, but how are sounds made and heard?  What makes sounds different?  You are going on a journey to find the answer to these questions!  After this experience you will never “hear” the same way, again.

Task
To find the important answers you are looking for, first, you will find a partner to travel with on your journey.  Next, you are ready to start out.  There are Internet sites that you will travel through to find the answers to the questions listed below.  As you go, remember to share answers and thoughts, if you are working with a partner.  Record your answer on your worksheet.

Advice
Read through all the questions before searching.  It is important for you to notice what answers you are searching for, that will help direct you better.  Spend time finding your answers and exploring the Web sites.  Do not spend too much time in one site, but explore them all to answer the questions.
