Silent Witness: Family and Intimate Partner Homicide In 2003, there were 131 victims of family and intimate partner homicide in Virginia. Radford University Events were held on Monday, March 28, 2005 Nine life-sized figures were displayed, each bearing the name and story of a woman or child killed by intimate partner violence in Virginia, bringing awareness of the pervasiveness of intimate partner homicide in our society. Radford University's Clothesline Project was also on display, and there were several information booths.

Dr. Virginia Powell from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia spoke at 12 pm
Speakers on the 5:00 panel included Mary Beth Pulsifer from the Women's Resource Center, Dr. Isaac Van Patten, chair of RU's Criminal Justice Department, and Dr. Moira Baker, head of RU's Women's Studies Program
Michelle from the Women's Resource Center helped to coordinate the day.
