Resident Director Selection Process

Resident Director positions are filled on a rolling basis as spaces are identified, therefore applications are received continuously and generally follow this process:

Late Fall Semester: Resident Director Application Packets are available

Early Spring Semester: Completed Resident Director applications are reviewed by the Resident Director Selection Committee. A complete application consists of the following:

A completed RD Applicant Information page
A resume
Names of three references
A written response to the two questions on page six of the application.
An application to the College of Graduate and Extended Education for admission into a graduate program

Mid-Spring Semester: On-campus interviews conducted

Eligible candidates are contacted and offered the opportunity to participate in individual interviews.
A candidate does not have to be accepted to graduate school at the time of the on-campus interview.
Limited overnight accommodations are available for on-campus interviews. Meals are provided during the interviewing process.

April: Priority selection process completed and employment offers confirmed

The search may be extended until all positions are filled.
An offer of employment is contingent upon admittance into the College of Graduate and Extended Education.
