MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP
MGNT 490. Management Internship
Hours and credits to be arranged (1-3).
Prerequisites: Junior or senior management major, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and permission of the instructor.
A one- or two-semester program of work and study in the student's major area and/or career interest. Number of hours of work, credit hours and grade for the work performed determined by the faculty member or members sponsoring the student.
Allows the student to work in an outside agency which is specifically linked to the student's career interests.
The course consists of outside employment related to the student's career interests.
At conclusion of course, student will demonstrate a greater understanding of the chosen career field.
Assessment of the student's success is based primarily on a final report project and periodic meetings with faculty supervisor and organization supervisor.
